Is it too early to call it spring? It’s been in the upper 60’s here, so it sure feels like it! Almost all of the snow has melted from our back shady patio, so that’s a good sign. We moved into our house at the beginning of winter, so we haven’t had a lot of good weather days to explore our neighborhood. But we took advantage of the amazing weather this weekend to walk to the park behind our house, and it led us along the creek and to the golf course. So nice to have finally found a little nature around here.
While out and about, we found a pretty awesome restaurant called Mellow Mushroom Pizza Bakers. They had the craziest combinations for pizza toppings, but it was delicious. Some of it was a bit out of my comfort zone, but I tried it anyway. Tasted great, and it was right up Connor’s alley. Pretty rad interior design, too.
We have still been unpacking decorations and finding perfect homes for each and every one. Every day something new happens around here, and the excitement is overwhelming sometimes!
My little-shared secret is the IKEA clearance/as-is section, where we got this rug for half price. I have had my eye on it for about a month, so when I spotted it there, I was over the moon excited to snag it. We also got curtains for our bedroom, which we completed this weekend, so I will be sharing the before and after pictures for that soon!
